I can relate to hatred of grass. I'd mowed so many lawns (parent's and throughout the neighborhood) from age 10 to 18; it created a deep hatred. I thought back then (70's in Chicagoland) that all lawns should be clover.
Yes! I'm experimenting with just letting whatever grass is there already grow but patching the dead spots with drought-friendly stuff like low-lying succulents. Will report back.
